as far back as i can remember, there was always music in the house:  piano, organ, trumpets and lots of singing.  it was all wonderful but at that time music didn’t really move me – then i heard Queen’s “bohemian rhapsody”.  what what what??  from there the piano became something more than a place to display nick-knacks.  after a year or so of teaching myself piano i got my first synth, a minimoog (followed by a long list of keyboard instruments, all of which i wish i still had).  pretty soon i was in a band, grew my hair, and went to seek my fortune on the road.  after a couple years of living off mac 'n cheese, ramen and oatmeal, i gave it up in favor of some stability and a full belly.  i continued with a local cover band as a second job for many years but after a time i decided it was time to give up the role as “part-time rocker”.  grateful for the knowledge i gained from many talented musicians, i slowly assembled a small home studio.  i have been writing songs for – well, lots of years – and in recording them i found that it scratched an itch i didn’t even know i had.  i am blessed to have the opportunity to pursue something that i enjoy so much.  i sincerely thank you for reading this and for your support - and as i have said before, i hope you enjoy listening as much as i did making it.

while most comfortable near the lakeside, carrie is also right at home behind a microphone.  whether lending her talent to choirs, weddings, and other musical compositions, her voice is distinctive and powerful and she has near perfect vibrato (check it on an oscilloscope – you’ll see!).  additionally, she is an all-around good egg and a joy to work with.
